Thrun seems fine in the deck. I think Grand Abolisher might be the key to the whole thing though. Trying to build this deck myself.

Because you can't attack with Thrun when you toss Angelic Destiny onto him? Unless you're implying a curve of Scout on turn one and Destiny on turn 4 in which case you're right. Then again, when you don't have Destiny the Scout and Wolf are pretty awful.

I've been trying to come up with ideas for other things to attach. Equipment seems decent, but Spirit Mantle seems pretty cool too. Turns the wolf into a 4/2 unblockable, untargetable guy. Not too shabby.

it's such a damn shame that Kor Spiritdancer is rotating with soul sisters falling apart post-rotation, I was hoping I could adopt g/w auras as my tier 2ish pet deck. Mesa Enchantress is bleh. __________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

Well thrun actually can attack the turn you put destiny on him. Unless you plan on ramping to 8 mana and casting them both that turn Spirit mantle is ridiculous. I would love to build an enchanty deck with that and destiny but without the totem armors it seems not as coool. i reallylike the totem armor effect. would they ever print them in a core set? that wouldn't be too off-flavor. it's not like metalcraft or anything. i mean, they brought back bloodthirst. that never seemed too "block specific" feeling.

Gotta agree on the Mesa Enchantress. She was way cool back in Time Spiral block though. I still have some foil PC ones in my old deck. I think the biggest problem with her in the deck, is that if they got removal, it's going to get eaten by her. Normally I'd be sorta ok with that, but most of my other guys are going to be untargetable, so I'm just making my opponent's removal useful at that point. I like the idea of trying to grab some virtual card advantage by rendering their spot removal useless, or close to it. Used to love dropping a Privileged Position on MTGO and having my opponent reveal a hand full of spot removal with nothing to point it at.

Necropotence is life payment, not damage.

Anyone else think Master Thief's art is just an unused illustration for Higure the Still Wind?

That's possible. The art for Bloodthrone Vampire was originally intended (i believe) for Kalastria Highborn. The art on Bloodthrone is saved on the artist's website everywhere as KalastriaHighborn. But yea he totally looks kamigawa.

Where have you been man? No Bolt is old news. The apology comes in the form of Goblin Grenade, Incinerate, Manabarbs, Grim Lavamancer, Chandra the Firebrand, and Chandra's Phoenix. I'll take that bundle over bolt any day of the week. __________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

Yeah, but don't forget that M11 doesn't rotate until Innistrad comes in so really, there's this small window where you have Bolt AND Incinerate with Grim Lavamancer, Goblin Grenade, Staggershock, Searing Blaze, etc, etc.
