Right but if your avoiding paying upkeep cost that let you lock out the game. Say Glacial Chasm and Solitary Confinement then you can sit there and wait for your opponent to deck themselves.

Just end your turn with the lose the game trigger on the stack, exiling it! You can do similar nasty stuff with Mistmeadow Witch and Glimmerpoint Stag, ending your turn when the "return to the battlefield" trigger is on the stack, exiling it for good.

I think it'd be a really fun card to build around casually, but there's no way in hell it's going to do anything competitively.

WOTC seems more willing to print good casual cards recently (as opposited to fetid garbage and t2 gold like earlier sets).

It seems to me like WotC is centralizing this deck around basic tactics (White Lifegain/Damage Prevention, Blue Mil, Red Burn...) and doing a good job of it. The set has some interesting cards and nothing HUGELY overpowered *cough* JTMS *cough* it should be fun. Oh and Eater of Days+Torpor Orb+Infinite Sundial(?Lightning Greaves?) = my new casual deck lol.

New garruk looks...interesting. Normally since he's 5 mana I'd say instantly unplayable, but considering his + ability protects himself better than Elspeth and more permanently than Koth, and that his minus is (when paired with the plus) pretty sizeable CA...I don't know. That GGG in the mana cost sure is a doozy though.__________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

M12 is looking to be a very good set, lots of EDH, Cube, T2, and Legacy playable cards.Three new Planswalkers, all of which I think are good, two of which will likely see T2 play without the need of anything else being printed. Only downside I've seen thus far is Common/Uncommon haven't seen anything that makes me want to open large amounts of it, which is sad...I like my .50-1$ commons, and 4-7$ uncommon. Basically see about 1 common, and 5 uncommon that are new, and I would want a playset of, common might see some value, uncommon, other the Timely Reinforcements and the new Greaves, I don't see any getting expensive. So far tho My favorite card is the Arachnus Spinner 5G Creature - Spider Rare Reach Tap an untapped Spider you control: Search your graveyard and/or library for a card named Arachnus Web and put it onto the battlefield attached to target creature. If you search your library this way, shuffle it. 5/7 Arachnus Web 2G Enchantment - Aura Common Enchant creature Enchanted creature can't attack or block, and its activated abilities can't be activated. At the beginning of the end step, if enchanted creature's power is 4 or greater, destroy Arachnus Web. So flavorful, only downside is I play EDH almost exclusively, and I can only run 1 of each, which makes me a little sad. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

The 2/2 is a colorshifted Dosan that prevents most abilities. It might see a bit of a splash if there's a combo deck that uses white. Otherwise probably not.

But is is also in white weenie colors, which makes it that much better. It also costs 1 mana less, which makes it that much better. It also is a dampening matrix and null rod, which makes it that much better. __________________ Joz - can we ban Leshrac for not fixing the Chrome PM issue?Gunslinga - If I thought it would help, and if I could, I would.

It also dies to shock and arc trail, so there's that. __________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

Maybe in 1996 that would be a good thing. White Weenie almost always sucks.

It sorta forces them to counter/answer it which is kind of nice. One less spell to use against your threats.

I wouldn't consider it a very threatening creature as far as killing your opponent. But yeah I guess. I mean, you're not trying to win with this guy, just making sure your other stuff is more well protected, right? Or are you trying to say he's not worth playing?

Except that it doesn't die to arc trail because arc trail is a sorcery and thus can't be played.

Except that it stops your opponent from casting spells on your turn, not theirs, and so whether or not Arc Trail is a sorcery is kind of irrelevant __________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield
