In a Legacy Fairy build, does counter-magic belong? I'm thinking specifically FoW and Mental Misstep. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button

Can we see a decklist of what you have in mind? Personally, I think if you're playing blue, you better have a damn good plan (like NO FoW- Natural Order without Forces)if you're not running forces, and a bunch of faeries definitely doesn't constitute as a fast enough clock to beat the combo decks.

u can pretty much take a standard legacy build merfolk deck and replace the merfolks with faeries and see how that goes.Faeries are interesting but might not have enough lord characters to make it worth playing if you want to win and do well consistently. for fun and giggles though, that would be where i start.

The places I went to shop prices when I was about to hopen my store (gave up because my wholeseller was in Vancouver and it was a pain to ship ://). In the center of the city it was between 900$ all inclusive for a 675sft basic store to 2800$ nothing included 900sft but within a big mall (Les Promenades de Gatineau) so the customers will always see your store and the word will spread. Now, in the district further the center of the city (also closer to the Casino, wich is a good thing for business) it was between 800$ all inclusive 650sft to 1200$ also all inclusive but ''Pignon sur rue'' (front of the store directly on the side of the main blv) for 1200sft on 2 story (the gaming room would have been in the basement.... there was already 30 tables with all the chairs and a finished W.C + counter with a glass countertop for displaying the cards. Remember that these are in Canadian $ and it's in the city right next to the capital (ie: prices for the city next to Washington if you're in the US). Hope this somewhat helped

Yea i didn't really think there would be anything for white so i was mostly looking at artifacts. Metamorph doesn't count because it is blue and not allowed in a mono-white EDH format. quote: Originally posted by iccarus: Riptide Replicator
YESSSSSSS, that was it! Thanks guys. If anyone's curious, Zuberi Golden Feather is lacking allies and this is totally hilarious to me. I just didn't want the one shot effects of Clone nor the sacrifice effect of Vat and the twin card. quote: Originally posted by MeddlingMage: In a Legacy Fairy build, does counter-magic belong? Like others have said, countermagic is good. If you are playing blue in legacy you should probably be playing Force. Unless it's for fun then whatever.

Pretty sure Fae's big weakness was Merfolk when they were both legal... not sure building Faeries in a Merfolk-heavy Metagame is a good idea.

Recruiter? Also, have you considered that maybe you are missing the point of the format?

What are these oversized cards for (commander, release etc.)? They seem very useless...will they print enough to build a deck of them one day?

I replaced it at Providence; some of the scans are older and it's a pain to crop out individual cards. I believe the JP one is later in the collage.

Ah, I see it now. Beautiful collection; wouldn't want it spoiled by stinkin' Chinese characters (I'm Chinese. XD).

Totally. I hate the font that Wizards uses for Chinese. Too blocky and really takes away the elegance of Chinese script.

If only WoTC uses ink brush style fonts for Chinese cards...

If only the Chinese cards were positively unreadable? Yes, of course! Why not have a stylized, calligraphic gothic font for the English cards? And yes, brush stroke Chinese *is* unreadable, especially to us non-native speakers who had to grind through two thousand hanzi.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Chinese cards are meant for Chinese readers.

I've got 2 EDH decks. One's all foil and the second's all foil except for one card that will never be available in foil. It's all about having fun. Fun making decks and fun playing them. Just by reading have/want lists it seems that there are a lot of people doing the same.
