The guy joined in April and he still has Zero References. That should tell everyone all they need to know about this guy.

not sure where to put this..there are very few reasons to give someone a 4 or less on there feedback.. most trades are pretty straight forward.. it either went down smooth or it went wrong. now lets say I made a trade and we both agree to "simu-send" he gets my cards 2 days later, here I am 5 days later with nothing.. I have faith that i'll get the cards.. but should I leave him less then a 5? at what point do you start taking away feedback rating.. obviously if it goes to long it becomes bad trading. should I still give them a 5 if I end up having to wait the whole month? isnt that a sort of loophole in the system? I can always agree to simu-send, but then just wait until I receive, since US to US mail usualy only takes a week or so.

Setting aside the questions of what a 5 really means versus how it's used, this question really can't be answered with the information available. If the cards were sent the day after the trade and the post office took several days to deliver it, it would be pretty hard to justify giving the guy a lower ref for something beyond his control. On the other hand, if they sent out after they received, then it's a matter of whether you think they intentionally didn't mail until they received or if things just came up and they weren't able to. For instance, our post office is closed on Saturdays, and I try to avoid mailing things out on Monday because the lines tend to be extra long. If we had agreed on a trade on Thursday and I was unable to get them out on Friday, there's a good chance I'd not be able to mail out until your cards arrived. I try to let people know in that case what day I'll send, but occassionally I forget. It's just hard to answer your question when there are too many unknowns to give a realistic answer. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. I feel like if a 4 is reasonable. There is a misconception that if there isnt a major problem then it must be a 5. I dont think that was the original intention. If it was we should just have 2 options (Good, Bad). That said if a trader sends later I expect communication. If a trader tells me ahead of time or quickly after, I would never give them a lesser score. Just my thoughts.

*At what point in time were Birds of Paradise $20? *This does not include Beta, Alpha, FOIL or altered Birds.

Probably never. It wasn't in the last 8 years I played. Certainly doesn't help that there are infinity copies of it. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts 85th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

I remember a few Jund decks ran it, but it was still only $2-3 at most. __________________ Joz - can we ban Leshrac for not fixing the Chrome PM issue?Gunslinga - If I thought it would help, and if I could, I would.

I remember BoPs being around $10 to $12, but never higher than that.

Was there a DC# that it could be tracked with? If so you should be able to tell the date when he/she sent the card(s) out. As long as that send date is within a reasonable amount of time I wouldn't hold the person responsible for the mail system being delayed. If you have proof it was actually sent I would say don't worry too much about it until at least the two week mark has passed. It could just be USPS is being extra slow with this package for some reason or another. __________________ "You broke into my house, stole my property, murdered my servants, and my PETS! I'd rather buy a good car first with $20K, guns and ammo and fake IDs for $10K then go rob banks, THEN go buy that...on ebay, seperaetly so I don't have to deal with the non-playables. __________________ Joz - can we ban Leshrac for not fixing the Chrome PM issue?Gunslinga - If I thought it would help, and if I could, I would.

And when I thought I saw everything... I got this email:

From: matthew.on.cl@gmail.com Here's what I've got that you want: Mesa Falcon #112 (x2) Mindstab Thrull, Mark Tedin (X2) **All four are in NM/M condition - Here is what I would want that you have: Hallowed Fountain
I'll be happy to let you have all four for the one, if you're okay with that. Let me know a good, cheap way to send them to you. email me back to this email - my pm on MOTL doesn't work for some reason. Thanks Matthew (in the United States, by the way - I see you're in Switzerland, right.)

I don't know if they were 20 bucks, I certainly remember $15 BoP's around 5th Edition though, they were fairly valuable still when the "Fires" of Yavimaya deck was all the rage around Invasion. When I started playing again a year and a half ago I was SHOCKED to find BoP was only worth 2-3 bucks, for most of the time I layed Magic they were a $10+ card. Then again, I also remember Shivan Dragon being valuable.

Miss that deck so much. Yeah, BoP were expensive back then. __________________ -Schmitty 7th in Refs [191] in OH-IO (Catching up to jmedina) 2nd in Posts [5724] in OH-IO (Have a long way to go to catch Val) “If Brad Stevens is the future of coaching in college basketball, the sport is in a good place.” - Rick Pitino

So did they run out of ideas for M12 or something? What a horrible core set.

Not to mention, at that time frame $50 cards didn't exist in standard. Heck, until Jitte I don't really remember a time when cards over $20 existed in standard.

port was easily over $20. Masticore. Anything involved in the academdy decks. Not sure if replenish hit that price before it got banned.
