Do you know how advertising works? Do you realize magic is a huge cash cow for Hasbro? Do you even know what you are even talking about?
Also, WotC gets a solid F in the marketing aspect of this game. Their marketing and promotion team is a complete joke. They know they have us (the consumers) by the balls so they refuse to do anything to help the game.

Wasteland was $55 earlier this year thanks to SCG trying to inflate its price, now its $35 :P

scg didn't just randomly decide to inflate the price, they ad demand increase. Wasteland decks were the thing to do at the time, now wastelands are more sparse in deck lists and the decks that do run wasteland don't always run the full 4.

Sush, we are not allowed to use logic in this debate! It spoils the fun! __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

Speed Demon, when you say "fake inflation," I believe what you really mean is "cornering the market." Yes, the diamond folks do a good job of keeping the supply low, but that works because they control the mines. However, buying up the market in an attempt to inflate prices is actually a poor fiscal plan. The Sumitomo copper affair of the '90s is a good example of how it all goes wrong. Yes, it inflates prices, but you usually turn away demand as well (i.e., people seek alternatives), so as soon as you try to liquidate, it all settles back out and you end up losing. SCG doesn't print the cards themselves; they only buy and sell them. Now, they may speculate on a card and raise the prices in the belief that demand WILL increase, but they aren't cornering the market. Personally, I collect Alpha Zombie Masters, but not for the purpose of cornering the market. While my collecting has driven up the prices, I know that if I sold them I would never recoup my investment (well, I may because of the EDH boom, but that's a separate event).

Wasteland decks have always been around, I think that was the most clear and gross price manipulation by them which is why I posted it. If you check tcdecks.com theres more wasteland decks played now than there was last april (when wastelands were $55).

60. For 100 I'd have to consider busting my stompy deck and selling the 4 Rofellos.

Gerry T, Brad Nelson, LSV, Owen Turtenwald, Brian Kibler, Cedric Phillips, Arix Lax, Ruben Bresler, Patrick Chaplin, Eric Klug, Conley Woods, Adam Barnello are ones from todays tweets that i follow. I've had responses back from Kibler, Gerry T and Brad Nelson on tweets at them (Kibler about the Hobbit, Gerry T about his boom/bust deck and Brad Nelson on building a legacy deck with Trading Post) It makes them very good ambassadors do the game being friendly to people on twitter. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario 2nd in posts in Canada 10th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

I can't find a single place where I can get them for less than $100. 60 sold out on starcity still means that with 60 dollars you can't get one from starcity right?

Ebay. 2 have sold on ebay this month for that. Wait for another to come up for auction and bid on it. People can ask whatever they want for their cards. If people aren't paying 100.00, then that's not the price.
