I ended up winning both of them, but we probably could have fit a third game in had those cards not been played as "I don't want to die right now" knee jerk effects.
Run Boros Charm if you are in the color.

I don't have a single deck with RW in it right now. I had a counter for the geddon player, but they had a hand stacked with their own permission. He was running Dervei and I guess he was counting on using him to take me and another guy down from almost 40 life before we could recover. Well, along with the Sylvan Library, Mirari's Wake, and Future Sight he also had. Fortunately, I was left with a Garruk Wildspeaker to help rebuild my mana. The Oblit player (mono red) did it into a board where I was left with an active planeswalker as well (Sorin Markov). It was a star game with him on my right, and I was able to take out my one remaining opponent before he could do some myr retriever beatdowns on his. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. I'm building Xenagos aggro. So far, I run: Rancor Berserk Might of Oaks Vines of Vastwood Pendelhaven Grafted ExoskeletonWhat are some EDH-able pump spells? Blazing Shoal seems sweet, Strength of Tajuru's effect stays around.

Overwhelming Stampede and Overrun depending on how many creatures you're planning no having.

I can't decide if I want to build a Melek deck or a second version of Zegana, focusing this time on merfolk and "things from the deep" instead of +1/+1 counters.__________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

I play Ghave with some satisfaction on Cockatrice and decided on building in paper Magic. It is relatively token based of course, but does contain a decent number of creature cards, and i play this sort of holy/unholy hallowed forest kind of thing, so i want a tiny reanimation sub theme. I just don't want to go too crazy, and definitely not trying to dump my library into yard for a mass reanimate. I guess, what i am asking is, what would be your 4-8 top picks for reanimation in BGW? Preferably recurring somehow. I had Deadbridge Chant, Karador, and Teneb.

If you're looking for recurring reanimation then I'd consider: Corpse Dance Debtors' Knell Dawn of the Dead Recurring Nightmare (if you don't use the banned list) Sheoldred, Whispering One Coffin Queen Hell's Caretaker I also really like Living Death, though it's not recurring. Depending on the deck, Patriarch's Bidding can also work really well.

Infecting people has been fun for me. With Xenagos, I'm voltroning at a much lower opportunity cost. Aggro has been fun again without resorting to Edric. Dosan (aka Green Teferi) has been closing out some games! For now, this is what I'm running: Ghor-Clan Rampager Rubblehulk Skarrg Goliath Wrecking Ogre Homura Grafted Exoskeleton Batterskull Vines of Vastwood Rancor Berserk Kessig Wolf Run Pendelhaven Strionic Resonator (sort-of) Savage Beating (sort-of) Gratuitous Violence (sort-of)

Thank you for your picks Debtor's Knell is one i forgot, i have that as well. The rest have little to do with my theme or colors. Another question - in Ghave's colors, what cards move +1+1 counters off of and onto creatures? Particularly a permanent with an activated ability. I was thinking of backups for Ghave's abilities __________________ Want Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, and other vampire females oddities (foreign, foil, crimp, miscut, misprint, sign, test print, alters, artist proofs, etc)Building Ghave EDH, please check my threads. Anyone else catch on to what Godsend makes possible in EDH? Get your opponent's commander into combat against a Godsend equipped creature and it's gone for the game. Could cripple decks relying on their commander.

Like I see three ways your opponent loses his commander. 1) He is bad at reading and blocks 2) He is dead if he doesn't block, and it's essentially an upside since he can't recast it 3) You stoneforge it into play, equip to creature with leonin shikari. Wait I don't even know if this works after blockers are declared?

What, are you new at this game? Never came across Lure, Alluring Scent, Taunting Elf, Sisters of Stone Death, or any creature with Provoke before? This *IS* the EDH thread and I've seen all those played in various decks from time to time. __________________ The Best Thing About EDH: "It’s like poker night, but nerdier." -David Schreiner

Not really. The commander replacement effect will make it so that Godsend never exiles a commander. It is possible that you could exile a non-commander creature from opponent B that opponent A is using as their commander. That would work.

Hmm. To be honest I hadn't thought about the command zone replacement as Godsend says 'you may exile one of those creature'. Thought it would take the choice away from my opponent.

This IS the commander thread. WOTC: " If your commander would go to the graveyard or the exile zone from anywhere, you may put it into the command zone instead." Sweet sword bro. Edit: There is a scenario in which what you are trying to accomplish works. If Player A attacks player B and exiles a legendary creature that is of the same name as Player C's general that would screw Player C up. It's super narrow, probably fairly unlikely but it does exist.

Is Quarry Colossus good enough to run in mono-white for the tuck effect? 5/6 for 7CMC is pretty weeke, but hiding the opponent's commander for 5-7 turns seems nice.

Not a fan of it. You can't really cheat that into play, and the CC is too high for the tuck effect. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. So have the forest, the city, your palace, your dog . . ." —Keldon soldier

Well, after converting to Nylea (from Vorinclex--what was I thinking?!), I think my mono-green deck is actually my favourite deck at present. It's surprisingly powerful.__________________ "I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. I do not think they will sing to me." -T.S. EliotRIP Ari Legacy UGB River Rock primer. Mono green has the potential to be flat out insane, just ask Michael French. Until very recently I had a Yeva deck that could roll the table pretty consistently. Green is hands down my favorite color for EDH, so now I am challenging myself to do mono red and mono white. Mono black has been done to death here and blue is the power color anyway .

Tamiyo's ultimate may be the most incredible of all planeswalkers to me. She's incredibly powerful with her first two abilities as well, but the ultimate is very versatile.Recover from board wipes, including your own Sacrifice effects (Any Strip-land, Vampire Hexmage, Viridian Zealot) Discard effects (Mind Over Matter, Faerie Macabre and Elvish/Simian Spirit Guides) Draw spells (Thought Scour and Careful Study on the level of Ancestrall) Removal, ramp, burn, mutual discard, ANY spells (Swords to Plowshares/Hero's Downfall, Three Visits, Lightning Bolt, Dleirum SKeins/Burning Inquiry/Windfall) Any spells that put cards into graveyard (Genesis Wave, Mulch, Grisly Salvage) Resilient to mill Resilient to having your graveyard thrown back at you Doesn't have an instant effect that qualifies as a finisher, but really secures your place in the long haul. I'm playing her in Derevi, focusing on incredible card advantage and tapping permanents (she's great all around in this deck). But looking for suggestions for other degenerate cards that work with her ultimate. What would you play with her? __________________ Want Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, and other vampire females oddities (foreign, foil, crimp, miscut, misprint, sign, test print, alters, artist proofs, etc)Seeking jap/rus/kor/ger nonfoils for Ghave EDH

Tamiyo with cheap removal and card draw is great. I run her in a counter-centric simic deck and she's easily my favorite walker in the deck.__________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.
