Anyone have a good 1v1 list for The Mimeoplasm? I'm new to EDH and have no idea what I'm doing.

Damia is "better" in the sense that she can very easily help you win games by refilling your hand each turn. However, she gets expensive very fast because players will tend to auto-target her. Vorosh is less threatening because he doesn't really do anything until you start swinging with him. He's a little more under the radar. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

then I will have to find a card that lowers creature casting cost. Does that count for commanders?

I think so. Karador's ability affects casting him from the command zone. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=236468

fantastic, I can make that work. I seem to be including a lot of artifacts in my EDH deck, which is odd, because I dont usually use a lot of artifacts

although I am not new to magic, I am new to EDH, so may have many stupid questions. can Evil Twin copy a creature that does not have the same colour identity as your commander?

Just built 2 more EDH decks. My current generals are: Kaalia of the Vast Uril the Miststalker Lin-Sivvi, Defiant Hero Ezuri, Renegade Leader Our group has really been getting into it lately. Very fun games too! ~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. Smackity-smack not a werewolf. Suspicious of this fruit loop. Bringing Commander into the equation has rejuvenated my group. We are getting together tomorrow with copies of the new decks to battle! I think it is awesome how much effort has gone into the 2013 edition and tomorrow should be quite fun! I am currently running a few decks: Yeva, Nature's Herald Braids, Conjurer Adept Selenia, Dark Angel (Extort Theme) Varolz, the Scar-Striped (Using Corpse Connoisseur to get a Death's Shadow in the 'yard to scavenge is my jam) Marton Stromgald (This deck is somewhat fragile but it can punch people pretty hard the turn Marton comes down) Child of Alara (This is actually a Maze's End deck) Sharuum, the Hegemon (Artifact value engine) Braids is currently the deck that has been together the longest. I like it as it takes the game in a different direction than most decks do. Currently though my favorite alternates between Varolz and Marton. The Marton deck is very explosive and most players do not expect the alpha strike. Fun!

I have a similar type of deck and it is fun. I really just wanted to make a 5-color lands.dec similar to legacy. When they printed Maze's End, just made it even more fun. My only decks at the moment right now are Child of Alara (lands.dec) and my Edric deck that I put together when the last Commander decks got released. I want to get a Jund good-stuff.dec and a Kiki-Jikki LD deck together soon.

Played a whole night of EDH last night. My Ezuri deck did really well. Triumph of the Hordes single handedly won me a couple of games. It basically reads ~ all of your opponents life total becomes 10 until end of turn.Uril did good as well. Only played Lin-Sivvi once and it was in a 2v2 game. It was good early, but when my opponents realized that Lin would be trouble, she never stayed on the board again. All and all though, was a fun night. Our play group as well has been revitalized a bit with this. ~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. Smackity-smack not a werewolf. Suspicious of this fruit loop. So where can I get the Commander 2013 decks at MSRP in the Vancouver area? Walmarts and "hobby shops that stock MTG but are mostly not MTG shops" have been fails.

I bought the decks. Yesterday was the first time I've gotten to play them. Got two games in. I played Esper and my friend played Bant. I used Oloro both games. Game one I didn't draw much or relevance and got locked out with Acidic Slime/ Flickerform. Game two I crushed by drawing into Well of Lost Dreams, then into Sanguine Bond. It was pretty nuts.__________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

This is a combination rules/EDH question, but more so rules question in the sense of what to include in my deck.I'm trying to play some slow combo deck that can beat the table, but since my friends don't have nearly the collection I do I basically capped myself on a dollar limit for the deck. I'm trying to 5 color maze's end. What happens when I play 9 gates and something like thespians stage copying a gate? Does it maintain that name (or lose it)? Also what are ways I can essentially "create" more gates than the standard 10?

I have a Maze's End EDH deck and it is a ton of fun . If you copy a gate on the field it doesn't help you hit ten gates with different names. Really Thespian's stage is only helpful as a second copy of Maze's End to accelerate the race to 10 different gates. I run Scapeshift, Knight of the Reliquary, Weathered Wayfarer, Crop Rotation, Walking Atlas, Gatecreeper Vine, Reap and Sow, Sylvan Scrying, Clear the Land, Urban Evolution, Oracle of Mul Daya and Expedition Map to help get me there. Crucible of Worlds helps recur fetch lands and get gates back if someone has blown them up. Riftsweeper is back up for an exiled land. Favorite card in the deck? Selective Memory . Vesuva allows you to copy a land, so another Maze's End, but I cannot think of a way to make more gates. My deck is also built around Vent Sentinel and fogs. It is quite janky but at the same time a very fun challenge. If you want me to type the whole list to share I am happy to do so.

I've played EDH for a long time. For some reason, I feel like building a goodstuff.dec for the first time.

I opened up two doubling seasons in my modern masters box so I decided to put one in my token/counters deck. After playing a few games I realized I had to take it out because it completely outclasses the rest of the deck.Sorry Doubling Season, you're too good for my meta.

I bought the mind seize commander deck. But i always h e trouble playing with it. I almost never have any good blockers and seem to e an easy target. I try to cast my spells, but i feel like i'm aleays giving my opp. Cards to thomp me, while i tap out. Is there any place i can read up on that specific deck strategy? I kinda get whats its trying to do, but i always seem to be laking in the creature department and lose pretty fast.

Just play a bunch of walls or spells that make them unable or not wanting to attack you like propaganda etc.

Also, stuff like No Mercy tends to be persuasive in EDH especially since you can absorb more damage before dying. Sun Droplet, too.
