More Questions that need to be answered:1] Innocent Blood: Does the spell's controller have a requirement to control a creature in order to play this spell? 2] Can you shock a master decoy after the decoy's controller declared using the tap creature ability, resulting in the decoy never tapping the creature EX: Master Decoy taps Avatar of MIght, but opponent says he will shock the decoy before he taps it. Is this legal? 3] What situation gives the owner of the turn prioirty on the stack? 4] Can you play an Orim's Chant after a creature spell is declared? 5] Can a creature be pumped up or "Giant Growthed" after blockers have been declared? LMK ASAP. Thx __________________ "A diplomat is someone who can tell you to go to Antarctica in such a way that you will look forward to the trip." -- UnknownAIM: SouthHawkFTB Yahoo: Texas_Big12

How about this:Your playing a deck with dawn of the dead, and you have a devouring strossus in your graveyard You trigger the DotD ability and The Strossus comes into play, is it still the beginning of your upkeep-meaning do you have to put the strossusses ability on the stack and sac a creaature, or do you get a 9/9 flying trample beatstick every turn (you can sac him to regenerate himself so that he isnt removed) __________________ 2nd in ohio in posts, yea baby, Moving on Up!!Milk is nice drink. Welkins - you can't, because the Dragons' don't have activated abilities, they have triggered abilities. As explained earlier in the thread, an ability beginning with the words when whenever if is triggered and goes on the stack when its condition is met. Since the condition is only met once per turn (unless you Relentless Assault ) you can only pay mana once.MagicMage: 1] Innocent Blood has no such requirement. 2] Removing a permanent after its ability has been declared will kill the Decoy but will not prevent his ability from resolving. Once played the ability exists independent of its source. 3] The player whose turn it is gets priority at the beginning of each step (except untap) and whenever a spell or ability resolves. The opponent has priority only when the active player passes. 4] Mr. Hat has it right - Orim's Chant only stops a spell from being played, it won't keep it from resolving once it has been played. 5] Yes. Cardboard Crack - see above about triggered abilities. "Beginning of upkeep" triggers happen exactly once, all at the same time. Devouring Strossus will not require a sacrifice the turn it comes into play.

Can you play spells during your discard phase? If so what type of spells?__________________ MOTLMerchnat@hotmail.com

The End Phase has two steps, the End Step and the Cleanup. "At end of turn" triggers occur at the beginning of the End Step, and then either player may play instants or activated abilities. You discard down to 7, remove damage from creatures, etc during the Cleanup step, and no effects may be played. However if an effect triggers during the Cleanup step (like you had to discard with Megrim in play for example) then the whole End Phase will repeat with another End Step in which to play spells.

Good news: As of yesterday, I'm a real certified judge MrHat - Ashnod's Transmogrant does not make the creature it targets colorless. A permanent's color is defined by its mana cost, and simply being an artifact does not make it colorless (although all artifact cards obviously have no colored mana in their mana cost). Therefore the Snitch can't target the Angel. quebecflag - see my previous post. You can't "activate" Oath of Druids at all. It has a triggered ability that goes on the stack exactly once at the beginning of your upkeep if its condition is met. You can only Oath twice if there are two Oaths. Titan33 - You cannot use Rishadan Port or Opposition in any way to prevent someone from playing a mana ability or any other ability that requires tapping to activate. The usual approach is to tap lands during the opponent's upkeep so that any mana drawn from them must be spent before the main phase (to avoid mana burn). This way only instant spells and activated abilities can use the mana. Magic Elemental - Laquatus's Champion does not have the "if you played it from your hand" restriction like Hypnox. Its ability will trigger any time it comes into play, no matter where it's coming from, and its other ability will trigger when it leaves play no matter where it's going.

ok I am a little confused.I cast a stone rain on my opponents port and he responds with Radiate and says it detroys all lands. I say he copies the stone rain and just destroys a land of his choosing. Who is right? (and this was a multiplayer game-)

Read Radiate again. It puts a copy of the spell on the stack to target each spell that the target spell could legally target. Radiating a Stone Rain will make a Stone Rain that targets each land in play. The card that does what you're thinking is called Fork.

Then can someone please fullly explain Radiate to me? I am totally confused on how this card works.(and it is very rare for me to be fused over a card) __________________ G.A.B. Refs"And when Alexander saw the breath of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer..."

If there are, for example, twelve lands in play, then the caster of Stone Rain had twelve legal targets to choose from. He only picked one, though, so there are eleven legal targets that aren't being targetted by Stone Rain. If Radiate is cast, it makes a "Stone Rain" to target each of the remaining twelve lands. Every possible target of the original spell gets hit by copies from Radiate, including Radiate's caster and/or permanents that player controls.

so can i use opposition to tap avatar of woe in response to them using the ability?

Once played, an ability exists independent of the permanent that created it. You can respond to the Avatar's ability by tapping it with Opposition, but a) your creature will still die because even killing the Avatar would not stop his ability once played, and b) the Avatar is already tapped before you get a chance to respond because the tapping is a cost paid as the ability is played, not part of the effect.

If I have a creature enchanted with an Armadillo Cloak and my opponent puts Control Magic on it, do I still gain the life off any damage done by the creature with the Cloak?

Yes, it still goes through, he'd have to kill it before it was tapped, tapping is instantaneous edit: btw, how do I get a judge's certification, I've wanted to do it for years __________________ Don't Eat Smoke all your greens Don't do school Stay in drugs -Mr.T
