If I put 3 Worldgorger Dragons into my graveyard with Burried Alive, then play Twilight's Call, and put all 3 Dragons into play at the same time, what happens?

EDIT: Here is the long rulingYou lose all three Worldgorger Dragons, but keep your other permanents. There was a pretty extensive ruling on it that I read a couple of days ago by a lvl 3 or 4 judge. I'll have to see if I can find it an post it. __________________ How you folks doin'? Y'all good? The real answer is ofcourse, that your opponent will punch you in the face, and never play MTG with you again.

Suppose I have a lot of mana, can I make my Morphling a 0/10 and then transform it into a 9/1?

Nope. The rule is that creatures' powers don't go below 0, with the exception of for pumping-up purposes. technically if you pump a creatures power down it goes into negatives. This doesn't mean anything when it blocks or attacks, but it matters when you try to pump it back up. __________________ Its not a weeble, it will fall. I like my salad... tossed. Through some creative work I steal all 4 of my opponent's worldgougers. They end up in my GY through some more creative work. Then I entomb all 4 of my worldgougers, so there are 8 worldgougers in my GY. I sac Balthor the Defiled. What happens? Step by step if possible......

Step one: Judges find out that TunaBoo violated this section of the Comprehensive Rules:
quote: 217.1a If a card would go to any library, graveyard, or hand other than its owner’s, it goes to the corresponding zone of its owner’s instead. If an instant or sorcery card would come into play, it remains in its previous zone instead.
Step two: Said Judges load TunaBoo into a cannon. Step three: Find another TunaBoo.

He's pretty easily replacable... all TunaBoos are pretty much the same.

Come on help me. Assume you do some weird work with jewel birds and this and that and that, and someone gain ownership of all 8 worldgougers. I really want to know. I want to make a mathematica equation relating the number of worldgougers and the end result...

Wouldnt one come in and remove all of your permanents from the game and then the other comes in removing that one from the game. Then the next comes in and removes the current one from the game bringing the already removed one back to play. Then the cycle never ends. I think it works like that, but I'm not sure. __________________ Suffer the little creatures, for they may yet rise up and beat you senseless.

No not at all.
I think it depends on if the total # is odd or even, but I am not sure.

Ok, FINE! The end result is that you'll have nothing in play. I'm not going through all the steps, but it's pretty easy to abbreviate. First, stack all the CIP abilities. (What follows is an actual stack, first in at the bottom, last in at the top.) CIP8a CIP7a CIP6a CIP5a CIP4a CIP3a CIP2a CIP1a So, CIP8a would resolve, and remove WGDs 1-7 and all other permanents (AOP) from the game. A bunch of leaves play (LPa) abilities go on the stack and resolve, doing absolutely nothing. Then, CIP7a would resolve, removing 8 from the game permanently (since LP7a has already resolved). LP8a would return 1-7 and AOP. Stack their CIP abilities, and you get: CIP7b CIP6b CIP5b CIP4b CIP3b CIP2b CIP1b CIP6a CIP5a CIP4a CIP3a CIP2a CIP1a CIP7b would resolve, removing 1-6 and AOP. A bunch of LPb would go on the stack and resolve, doing nothing. then CIP6b would resolve, removing 7 permanently. LP7b would go on the stack and resolve, returning 1-6 and AOP. CIP triggers on the stack: CIP6C CIP5C CIP4C CIP3C CIP2C CIP1C CIP5b CIP4b CIP3b CIP2b CIP1b CIP6a CIP5a CIP4a CIP3a CIP2a CIP1a And we also have: RFG:7 (Under CIP6b, gone for good) RFG:8 (Under CIP7a, gone for good) By now, you can see the pattern that is developing. For all X other than 1, WGD X will be removed under CIP(X-1)(Nth letter of the alphabet) Where N =(Total number of WGD - X) + 1 (This is assuming you put WGD1's abilities on the stack first, then add WGD2's, etc.) Eventually, we get a stack that looks like: CIP1F CIP2E CIP1E CIP3D CIP2D CIP1D CIP4C CIP3C CIP2C CIP1C CIP5b CIP4b CIP3b CIP2b CIP1b CIP6a CIP5a CIP4a CIP3a CIP2a CIP1a And when that all resolves, we end up with: Out:AOP (Under CIP3D, GFG) Out:1 (Under CIP2E, GFG) Out:2 (Under CIP1G, GFG) Out:3 (Under CIP2F, GFG) Out:4 (under CIP3E, GFG) OUt:5 (under CIP4D, GFG) Out:6 (Under CIP5C, GFG) Out:7 (Under CIP6B, GFG) Out:8 (Under CIP7A, GFG) If somebody sees a flaw in this, feel free to point it out, but I think it's right. Thanks, FyreStar P.S. Tuna... You owe me one edit: Also, I'd guess that if you have 4 or more WGD come into play at once, you end up with no dragons and no permanents. __________________ You can't cheat an honest man.

Gratuitous Violence reads that if one of your creatures would deal damage to another creature or player, you double it. How does this work for trample damage? Say I have a Violence in play, and I swing with a Hystrodon, and he blocks with a 2/2. The hystrodon deals 6 poitns of damage to the 2/2, 4 of which go through to the player. Does that 4 get doubled, since the damage is now being dealt to the player?__________________ A Haiku:Beware of Thomas The train with the human face He's not in God's plan

Doesn't work that way. The damage goes on the stack as 2 to the 2/2 and 1 to the player, and then is doubled. So the 2/2 dies and the opponent takes 2. __________________ I apologize for everything I just said.E-Mail Address: eclinchy@yahoo.com AIM Handle: eclinchy5 MSN Handle: eclinchy5@hotmail.com The Apprentice Directory Go Celtics, Go Patriots, and Go Bruins!

Let's say, my opponent has a Worship and Mystic Crusader without threshold in play, and is at 1 life.I have an assortment of creatures, all red. I attack with a 3/2 and a 1/1. He decides to block my 3/2 so that it would obviously die. We put damage on the stack, then I cast Flaring Pain. Now to my questions.... 1.) Does the Mystic Crusader die? 2.) If so, do I win the game? or do I have to do 1 point of damage sometime before he gets a creature into play? I would think yes to the first, and No, I would have to do it after combat damage. Not sure, so any info is apprecited.

1.) The Crusader dies.2.) The opponent lives. The damage to the Enforcer and to the opposing player happens at the same time. When that damage resolves, Worship checks and the Enforcer is in play. This is because Worship is a replacement ability. What it does happens before state based effects are checked (during the resolution of the combat damage). Then after damage resolves state based effects are checked and the various creatures with lethal damage die, even the protection creatures, due to the Flaring Pain. Wow I'm answering questions after staying up all night...WEE!! __________________ Ari - We'll miss you.

1) My friend plays a Verdant Force. My next turn, I play Gilded Drake, and I now control Verdant Force. Who gets the 1/1 saproling token every upkeep? Is it still my friend who gets it?2) I play shifting sky and I choose blue. Does this mean that the mana type needed to play a black creature is now changed to island? 3) I use Dominating Licid's ability. If I end it, do I loose control of the creature that Dominating Licid was enchanting? A few n00bie questions

1.) You control the Verdant, you get the token's it creates.2.) Shifting Sky doesn't change mana costs, only colors of non-land permanents in play. 3.) Sad to say, you lose the creature. No question is too n00b-ish for this thread. __________________ Ari - We'll miss you.
