The card you're referring to is:
quote: Astral Slide Whenever a player cycles a card, you may remove target creature from the game. If you do, return that creature to play under its owner's control at end of turn.
To answer your question, yes. Each time Highway Robber comes into play, his ability triggers. So, if you are it's controller, you'll gain two life and your opponent will lose two life every time it comes back from being removed via Astral Slide. __________________ You can't cheat an honest man.

If I morph my Hystrodon into a 3/4, do I still get to draw a card when there's a Wirewood Savage in play? I am thinking no, but I just want to make sure.

Nope. Nothing is actually coming into play, so it doesn't trigger the Savage.

You will not only be removed from the tourney, but you will probably get sued or something. Or at least get your nuts kicked.__________________ Ari - We'll miss you.

Tell us what deck he plays, and we will give you a deck to crush him and make him cry (assuming you don't screw up too bad, as your high quality spelling leads me to belive you have mental issues).

I know I can't spell either. And I obviously have lots of mental issues (duh). But I tend to make less than 30 spelling mistakes per post.

For Astral Slide, if i cycle a card on a creature with say elephant guide, will the guide stay on the creature until it comes back into play or teh enchantment also go with it? Also, another astral slide Q. can i slide my cartographer like multiple times? or since theres only one EOT, i can only slide it once? __________________

1. As soon as the creature leaves play, the enchantment goes to the graveyard since it no longer has anything to enchant. 2. Just once, for the reason you stated. If you Slide it out before your EOT, it'll come back at EOT. If you slide it out after your EOT, it won't come back until your opponent's EOT. __________________ You can't cheat an honest man.

I flash a Roar of the Wurm, and my opponent Spelljacks it.a) Does he even get the Roar, as the Flashback rules say to remove it from game if you pay the Flashback cost (regardless of whether or not it resolves)? b) If he does get the Roar, what happens when he casts it? Does it count as being Flashed (and removed from game), or is it cast as normal (and then placed back in my graveyard)? Here's another one, this one about Mirari. If my opponent casts Diabolic Tutor and Mirari's it, if I counter the original Tutor, does the Mirari still copy it? If so, why? __________________ Mercy has no meaning to me. A and B are tricky and I don't want to risk it.
As for the Mirari one: Yes, it still copies it. You are using an activated ability to put a copy of the spell on the stack. Whatever happens to the origional, does not effect the copy in this case (the classic - if a guy throws a grenade at you and you shoot him while it is in the air, does that stop the grenade?)

A) Yes, the Roar is removed from the game by Spelljack's effect, and your opponent may play it as per Spelljack's effect. B) When he plays it via Spelljack, it doesn't count as being flashed back since it isn't in a graveyard, so it goes to your graveyard when it resolves. C) The Tutor still goes through. Mirari will use what is called 'Last known information' to know what spell it is copying. __________________ You can't cheat an honest man.

Stuff that triggers like this check on triggering (Or, Upkeep in this case), and on resolution. They both set triggers on the stack, one resolves and you go to 7 and draw a card. If you can get yourself to 5, you will go to 8 and draw another card, but if you are still at 7, you stay at 7 and don't get to draw the extra card. Check me if I'm wrong, that is how the judge around here rules stuff like this. __________________ C:\format C: http://www.greenparty.org

That is correct. If you have 2 oaths out, 1 creature, and your opponent has 2 creatures - both oath's go on the stack. The first will throw out a creature (if you want), but the second will not (unless you can kill one of your creatures right away).
Why do I always remember rules by other cards. Weirdness. __________________ HanSolo6385 is my bitch. You still have to discard a card. Because you replaced the draw effect with another effect, doesnīt mean you donīt have to do the discard effect. This would be a nice "combo" with 0 cards in hand, because in that case, Looter and Word of Wilding provide you with a free creature.

Hey have some questions, some dumb, some just cause i'd like to know when playing w\ friends. #1) When i cycle krosan tusker do i draw then search or the other way around?#2)I have 2x W.O.War can i pay 2mana and deal 4 damage during my draw step or would i have to draw 2x cards and what if i have one of each like war and wilding? 3.)If i cycle slice and dice and deal one damage to a boneknitter and he regenerates it can i then pay the one with L. Rift and then kill him, assuming he has no more mana? second part if i have a W.O war can i deal the second part of damge after he regenerates then? 4#)this has to do with previous post and was just curious. someone responded that after playing a goblin pyromancer and destoying it before the turn ends would prevent the other goblins from dying. then someone said that a creature removed with a. slide would come back even though the slide isnt there, isnt this the same concept? sorry if im missing something obvious. #5)can u play accursed centaur with no creatures? like on first turn? or do u sac it? Thanks in advance

No, you can pay 2, but it will only deal the damage when you would draw a card. So you must be able to draw 2 cards to activate both words. And even then 1 words would do the job. There is never any use for having 2 of the same words in play. 3.)If i cycle slice and dice and deal one damage to a boneknitter and he regenerates it can i then pay the one with L. Rift and then kill him, assuming he has no more mana? you would activate the rift at the time you cycle the slice and dice, im not sure of the exact stack though... second part if i have a W.O war can i deal the second part of damge after he regenerates then? second part of damage? if you mean instead of drawing a card from cycling then yes you could, if you mean splitting the damage from words to deal 1 damage then 1 more damage, then no. These are different effects. Astral slides as one triggered ability that says Remove that creature, at end of turn put it back into play. Pyromancer has 2 triggered abilities Firest one is when it comes into play to give all goblins +3/+0 The second ability sais At end of turn kill all goblins. the difference is that the slides ability triggers when you cycle a card. The whole ability is tacked onto the creature (both removing it and bringing it back) However the pyromancers second ability does not even go on the stack until you reach the end of turn phase. SO if you kill the pryomancer before the end of turn phase the ability will never trigger. #5)can u play accursed centaur with no creatures? like on first turn? or do u sac it?
Nope, it sais when it comes into play sac a creature. Well, it is, itself, a creature and you must sacrifice it to itself if you have no other creatures. Thanks in advance

Picking up the loose one...3.)If i cycle slice and dice and deal one damage to a boneknitter and he regenerates it can i then pay the one with L. Rift and then kill him, assuming he has no more mana? Both abilities trigger at the same time, which means you get to choose the order they go on the stack. The correct play is to put Lightning Rift on the stack targeting Bone Knitter, then put Slice and Dice on the stack. If he regenerates in time to save his guy from Slice and Dice, then you'll have the option to pay 1 and kill it again with the Rift. Doing things in this order means that if he realizes the creature is going to die and doesn't bother to regenerate, you don't have to pay the mana to the Rift.
